This message is for any 2g Eclipse owner out there. If you are tuning with a Pocketlogger and S-AFC, you need to immediately sell them and find a 95 EPROM ECU, send it to DSMLink, and enjoy tuning the way it should be.
The battery in my laptop is totally dead, so I can't log and tune the car yet. But I have set the LTFT and compensation for my 650cc injectors and already the car feels 10x better than it ever did with the S-AFC. Surprisingly the spool up on the turbo is also quicker. I really wish I had never bought the pocketlogger and S-AFC and went with DSMLink in the beginning, it just is a great way to have a modified car that feels and runs like stock (of course with more power).
I have also hooked up the Innovate LM-1 to DSMLink and I just realized I wasted $100 on the RPM converter when I didn't even need it. DSMLink now logs the WB02 with the rest of the values.
I will be getting my laptop battery tomorrow and will hopefully get this thing tuned decent enough to make some good power.

I am having trouble posting for this webpage, so I haven't really been able to update in a long time.
I got the GT30R on the car and had some trouble, I wasn't able to get 20psi until 5,000 RPMs. After a lot of troubleshooting I finally got a tip that my internal wastegate probably didn't have enough preload to hold the flapper shut. So I went ahead and put a huge amount of preload and that solved my problem, I am now able to get 20psi by 3,800 RPMs.
So now that I have that problem solved I am in the process of tuning this thing. After messing around with the pocketlogger and s-afc combo, I got tired of not being able to see how rich or lean I was running. So I went ahead and got a Innovate LM-1 wideband kit, this thing is great and it is very inexpensive. Every DSM owner that is putting a decent amount of power down needs a wideband kit, they are cheap enough that there's no reason not too.
So now I am tuning with the pocketlogger, s-afc, and LM-1. I have never liked how the s-afc goes about changing the fuel on these cars, messing with the airflow signal just seems like a terrible way to tune a car, not to mention not being able to control timing. So after reading many reviews and listening to people with way more knowledge about these cars than me I finally went ahead and decided to go ahead and ditch the s-afc and get DSMLink V2. I was lucky to find a 95 EPROM ECU locally for around $110 shipped, so I am sending the ECU out to DSMLink tomorrow.
Hopefully should have the car running really good in a few weeks, it's already very fast in the current state of tune, but I know it has a lot left in it.
Next mods will probably be a new headgasket and ARP head bolts, since I will probably want to run more than 21psi with this turbo.

Holy crap I'm finally done with the GSX, I cut the bumper today and put it on. I didn't do the best job cutting the bumper, but it will do.
I have yet to go for a test drive, so I'm not sure if I was totally successful. God I hope I am done messing with this car!

So I finally got around to putting the SBR-GT30r in, first of all this turbos compressor housing is huge. I mean really freakin huge, I had to dent in the water pipe so much that I accidentally put a hole in it. So I went ahead and cut the broken section out of the water pipe and bridged the gap with some hose and some RTV and good clamps. This should hold everything together.
After doing that the turbo actually went in without a problem, and then my next problem came up. I had not seen any pictures of the Prostreet Race FMIC actually installed on a car, so I had no idea that you had to unbolt the metal brackets that used to hold the bumper on. After finding this out the FMIC actually went on very easily.
So I should have everything done this week and ready to test out. I am not really looking forward to tuning this beast since I really need a wideband o2 sensor, but I'll try and get it close to being ok to drive.
I also added a few pics showing off the fmic and turbo.

Got bored, so I decided to do a update on my 99 GSX.
I have the GT30r and 2-216 FMIC sitting in the garage ready to go on, and the car is actually on jack stands with the old T-25 out and ready for the new turbo. It's been on the jackstands for about a month now, mostly because of my new toy. A 2003 Mitsubishi Evolution, which I can't say enough about the performance and the fun factor this car has. It's without a doubt the best car I have ever driven.
So I am finally getting serious about getting the GT30r on the Eclipse and should have everything on this or next week if everything goes to plan, which it never does.
Well that's about it, nothing really exciting going on until I get the turbo on. Then I'll see if you car can handle the big increase in HP, or if something will give.

Just received the Pro Street Race FMIC kit, and I am very pleased. You can tell they care about their customers by the way they package up the kit. They sent the core in one box and the piping in another, everything was well protected. I am just waiting to get my turbo back and should be able to get everything on without too much trouble.

Talked with Mike at SBR and the CHRA center section would have to be replaced to have my turbo back to good as new. So might as well go and upgrade it! I've decided to go with a GT30R CHRA, which should be very similar to a 50-trim. I think I have my oil leak figured out, but I am still not 100%. It's hard to love my car when the damn thing won't stop leaking fluids.
